There is little to choose between the 1DII and the 1DIIn as far as I know. I
For the Finch shot, I know I was shooting manual, and trying to ETTR (Expose to the right) to deliberately overexpose the shot. So in editing, bring down the exposure, and a little sharpen. Very little cropping.

And no, you are not criticizing, I know that.

This is most inappropriate and Pat (Burnet44) does not deserve this at all. The only thing and the only one he is always criticizing is himself and only himself. If anything, he is the very embodiment of humility.

The II (non N) screen is only good for checking the histrogram. (maybe composition)
The Mk IV has a good screen but that is a little bit more expensive

Nice shots Mozes and Olicat.
Mozes - you must have been close with you 85mm! I like the angle of the shot particularly.
Olicat - was IMG_9664 panning with 100-400? are you using a monopod? still trying to get my panning shots on cars (not yet up to jets) that nice.

Thanks, yup - handheld with the 100-400 at 1/60th and very happy with it since I don't do panning shots very often.

This was at 1/30th, but didn't bother posting since there are loads of dust spots all over it (one day I'll give it a good clean...)
