I'd rather pay $1999 + $65 shipping than $2399 + shipping / tax.

I got mine through Aden Camera. 1,999 CAD. Shipping was more than what is/was offered through Henry's. But total costs with 2nd day shipping were 2,043. There were lesser shipping options, but I'm impatient and chose a more expensive option.

Henry's is on backorder for about 4+ weeks for delivery on the kit.

It seems they do not charge untill they are ready to ship which means yesterday's exchange rate may not be applicable. The USD to CAD could swing either way by the time the order is ready to ship. Last week, I paid $2 more in USD after everything.

Have they already charged you? What does the online order say?

Thanks.

EDIT: Also, how about currency conversion charges?

If you don't mind me asking, how did you pay? Assuming you used a Credit/Debit card, wouldn't there be additional conversion fees involved?

At that point, I'd save a little more and get it local, I'm VERY impatient when it comes to new gear! :)

FYI, Galaxy Camera has raised their price on Ebay to $2095.98 USD + $65 shipping. 5 left. I just got the email with the Canada Post shipping number, supposedly it left today and I should have it within 2-3 business days.

I paid with my Visa. As of now, there have been no additional fees or otherwise. Unless, they were included in the entire charge.

Watch out for a foreign transaction fee on your upcoming statement. Even if you paid in usd a lot of banks will hit you with one if a "foreign bank" was used. Even for some companies in the US...
