The best deal right now I think is from Adorama in their bundle offering at $2944

This includes a $100 CF card, an extra battery and an OK case, along with 24-105mm f/4L

On top of that you could get 4% cashback and a $50 GC from Adorama. This deal beats the Henry's deal and even if you sell everything else, the math could be

$2944 - $118 (4%) - $75 (CF) - $50 (GC) - $850 (Lens) = $1851

Ofcourse it requires some legwork but this is the best deal to be had currently.

Link to the bundle - http://www.adorama.com/ICA5DM2KE.html (external link)

How do you get the 4% and $50 gift card with this deal?

The Adorama deal is even better now - $2,919! That is the same price Amazon offers but they do not include the Sandisk Pro CF and extra Canon battery. Check out the printer $400 rebate as well.

The 4% usually comes if you purchase through Mr. Rebates. I purchased through ebates and received 4% back but that was just a Cyber Monday deal, their normal rebate is 2%. As for the $50 gift card, I have no idea but would be interested in finding out how you could get an additional $50 on top of the greatest deal out there!

Just got an email from BH - pretty close to the Amazon price from a while ago.

It's $2800 for the kit.

There was a coupon you could use "generalcpn" which gave you $50 GC, looks like its expired now....

The new $2,800 price from B&H is the best I've seen. Unfortunately, I already purchased my kit from Adorama for about $120 more - however the Adorama kit comes with a $100 Sandisk Pro card and extra Canon battery so comparatively they are pretty close.

It's tempting for sure. I would just hate to not be able to sell that 24-105. Or worse, like it as a walk around to keep (when I could use the money to buy something else!)

Adorama has matched the price - http://www.adorama.com/ica5dm2k.html?emailprice=t (external link)
Adorama has 4% cash back via Mr Rebate
Final price after cash back = $2,687

I just realized Samys is having their no tax deal, which would be like getting the 5Dii for $2,075 at another place.

My dillema now is, keep the T2i, get the 70-200 f/4 IS and 35L 1.4, or only get one lens and upgrade to the 5Dii or 7D (No comparison I know, but I photograph a lot of kids).

Anyways, if anyone is in Cali and close to a Samys, there's some deals to be found this weekend.

For those curious, I realize why we didn't get charged import duties....
It was the difference between goods costing $200 vs $2000... anyone look at their custom's sticker? It was due to a bit of clever writing... I bet most of you have this same bit of writing...
