Ive read through alot of threads but they're all "out of my lenses".......

So I'm going to rent one versatile lens...

On the 600D, should I rent a

Canon 24-70
Canon 24-105
Canon 17-40
Canon 70-200 (maybe too long)

Family trip.....
Thoughts?

Out of what you listed, probably the 24-105 for it's range. Personally I'd want a little wider, and longer. If you're only taking one lens, what about a superzoom?

I had my tamron 17-50 and wish I had just a bit more length. I also agree with the 15-85

17-55 f/2.8. Been to Disney world many times. The parks really come alive at night. You will want the extra stops.

But if I had to do with those choices...24-105. IS and it is lighter. You will appreciate that fact when you're hauling it around every day.

So it seems that the 24-105 is a great option for its versatility, as is the 15-85....basically a wider option...

decisions decisions....i got a few weeks, time will tell, more thoughts?

As a former employee of the Great Mouse, I have a couple of questions, then a bit of advice...
1 - Which parks will you be visiting? (If Animal Kingdom, that can push you to the 28-300, or one with that kind of range)
2 - Will you want to do shots of the park architecture or more of family portraits, or a combo? (If more family, the 24-105 or the 15-85 would be great. If architecture more, then the 15-85 would probably be a great choice)
3 - Does the size and weight of the lens concern you for long days in the parks?

No matter what you choose, I hope you and your family have an awesome trip and truly enjoy the parks!

you lose 9mm on the wide end which is ALOT! whereas you can always crop a bit to get closer. 20mm on the long end isn't as significant.

Just my 2c.

Magic Kingdom, & animal Kingdom....not interested in shooting the animals...(on safari)

family and architecture

Not at all....

may just go with the 24-105 since its IQ, IS, and versatility......but still not sure...
