I took this panoramic on Matanuska Glacier this summer while on vacation. I thought I might offer it to the outfit that runs the business for the glacier for use in their advertising. (they don't have a lot ) My questions are:
How do you approach them, as in a cold call sale.
What to offer, full use, limited use, etc.
How much to ask for, or let them make me an offer of what they think its worth.

I had a 12" x36" printed up and it looks great, so I'm sure they could even get a 24"x 72" if they wanted to.

Thanks for any input.

Jeff

It's always better to talk to a person. Call them, & ask whoever answers that question. ;)

Looks pretty good. I might have taken out that little bit of ice on the bottom right. For some reason I get a slightly tilted horizon feel. Is that from lens distortion and stitching all the images together?

Good luck.

The best way to approach a company about selling ANYTHING to them is just to do it. Call them, stop in, just speak to them. You can't sell ANYTHING unless you try. :)

Just introduce yourself to them. Ask them whom you'd speak with about this. If that person isn't in, ask when you might be able to set up a time to speak with them. If you don't get them right away, be persistent (but not annoying). Sometimes people really are too busy to talk to you--especially when they're not sure they need what you're offering.

I've been in sales 18 years so I've done this a gazillion times.

The small thing of ice in the bottom right i would clone out or crop the photo so its not there... as allscape said.

but yeah just talk to them and try to get in contact with the right person. if they dont pan out, why not try some other companies from the area? going in person always works the best imo, but assuming since u did this on vacation thats not an option. if its long distance get some skype money or something to make the call if you dont want to email them.
