What will have the best sound?

I will be doing some band videos (very small concert) and was wandering what would bring better sound? i have a limit of $200 i was thinking a rode Videomic or a zoom h2?

The only thing with the zoom h2 is matching the sound up with the video

do you have any other suggestions? I will be using a 7d

Syncing off camera sound with video in post isnt that bad. Use a clapper if you can or any identifiable noise like a finger snap or something. Is there any chance you can tap into the sound board, PA system or some other sound equipment theyll be using? That would give you a much better sound much easier.

Get the sound man to take a recording off the board as it is the only way to get a half decent sound.

The downer of recording with a dslr is you can't run it real time (it will shut down periodically) so it might be worth getting a cheap camcorder to shove on a tripod just to run continuously and give you a visual sync.

Also run the audio on the camera mic as this will help greatly with syncing the recording off the board as you should be able to match up some of the sound peaks.
