Sep 22, 2011 06:29 | #5 Yes. Hanging lake is just east of Glenwood springs Colorado, and sits on the side of a mountain. When I get home from work I will post some more shots from the day which will give you a better idea of this amazing place.

Sep 22, 2011 22:18 | #8 Thanks for the comments. As far as the HDR goes...I think it came out pretty true to scene. Looks just like it did when it drew my eye. But maybe I will see if I can make a version from single exposures and compare them

Sep 23, 2011 19:06 | #10 Are you saying that this shot could be a little more powerful if done with a single exposure and a filter? There was no way for me to have the detail in the foreground shadow (tree bark, and close water) without completely loosing the background. Always open for suggestions to change my shooting style. This one looks pretty cool B&W as well
