I've been waiting to replace my aging 40D with a modern full-frame for over a year now. I just can't get myself to drop top dollar on a 5Dmk2 that is 3 years old. I guess I'll start looking for used 5d classics. At least I can eat that cost if canon finally innovates and introduces some new bodies. 5Dmk2, 40D, 10-22, 50 f/1.8, 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L MKII, 28-135 USM, 2x 580EX II, lots of other lighting gear.

It happens when it happens. My experience with Canon is that they are very good at keeping the date under wraps. I'm anxious yo have a replacement for 1DsMKIII but in the meantime life goes on. I think some bloggers like to play with our emotions while others think that they have an "in" with Canon. I'll sit back and wait for whatever is coming our way. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
