Sep 22, 2011 01:52 | #2 Nice capture ! - Slightly tighter crop would make it better IMHO though EOS 7D, 24-105 L, 70-200 2.8L, 300 2.8L, 1.4 extender

Sep 22, 2011 15:15 | #7 I think I'd have at least cropped the runway and the foreground out. To me it is distracting from an otherwise great photo.

Thanks for the comments....I thought about a tighter crop but was going for a "thirds" option sort of....runway/foreground..aircraft....background. Sometimes tighter shots (too me) don't show the action or motion on a flying craft. I do however appreciate the comments and do keep them in mind when I process. I'd guess they've had it 20+ years. John Paul was one of the FIRST real warbird guys. At one time he pretty much had the market cornered on all the P-40 parts in the world. They brought their 2 P-40s and their P-51B (which is pretty close to a "B" but didnt' start that way) to the Reno Air Races. The P-51B would have done really well in the races had they made it completion. Too Much Camera Stuff......

Just imagine how fun it would be to fly it! -- Eric --
