Hi guys! Former lurker here. I'd like to share a photo I took last night of our local train depot. I'd like to send an 8x10 of this to a friend of mine who's into this sort of thing, but first I thought I'd see what you all think and whether anyone has any suggestions re: post.

Looks a bit soft at this size... sorry! I promise it's reasonably sharp. :oops: Here's a link to a much larger image (external link).

It's an OK shot, but I'm a color guy.
Second, some of the best "night shots" I've seen were taken before it's totally dark while there's still some light left in the sky. You don't need much, but you need some.
Look at the difference between the first & 2nd shots here: Ships at Dusk

Night time, the right time...post your late hours photos here.

Avoid the idea that "night shots" need to be evenly exposed, too:

I like B&W shots but this one just doesn't seem very interesting to me. The location certainly has potential, but I don't think you caputred that potential.

The ceiling on the left even though it has some details its been lost.
