I have photos, keywords and presets in lightroom 3 on new computer. It shows the photos missing. I have taken pics off old hard drive and put on new hard drive. Do I need to import, sync...? How do I get lightroom to see pics? Thanks for help. I searched the lightroom folders and didn't really see anything.

Do you update pics by syncing or two different options? Sorry for stupidity but have been lucky and not had much trouble out of lightroom so these functions are new to me. Thanks.

Click the "?" icon on the folder in LR. Then tell LR where to find the missing folder.
If you didn't change the folder structure, you probably only need to do this for the "parent" folder.

Do NOT re-import, unless you want to loose all edits / metadata / collections that are not written to the files.
