I guess it depends on what you are going for. Too me that much skin smoothing is more for a fashion shoot, but you need a lot more lighting. Maybe try to pull back the amount so you can actually see the difference between the nose and check. Just my thought, but I only remove blemishes and maybe do 10% at the most skin smoothing. Keep shooting!!!

i tried putting this in the people fprum no luck.

You only put it here half an hour ago, duplicating the post elsewhere after only half an hour is a bit quick, sometimes it takes a few hours to get replies.

Whatever you did, cut it by about 30-40%. You get to a point where cleaning up skin turns a person into a doll and looks fake.

I agree, not a bad effort but it is too much so the skin looks too soft and not quite real.

I think you're on the right track but you need to dial back the opacity of the skin smoothing...they have no texture left.

i have a tendency to overdo things as well. Especially the radioactive eyes. Usually helps me to take a break and come back to it later to realize i went overboard.

Seriously, the workflow I linked you guys too is the best I've ever seen.

You isolate texture and color independently and then clone away. You dont actually smooth anything (if you dont want/have to)
