Was recently involved in filming The Victory Show, a WWII re-enactors event in Leicestershire.

I was one of 8 cameras (the only one with a DSLR) so had the dubious honour of filming from within an American half track during the battle.

This is a preview of the overall project - Victory Show Preview (external link) edited by the guy who got me the gig.

I'll be preparing a short with just my footage once the overall project has been completed.

Enjoy

Oh my god this looks like a ridiculousness amount of fun. I would love to shoot something like this.

Add something like this to your reel and it will look like you've worked on some serious high budget stuff =P

It was pretty awesome. We filmed the battle on two days and I was showered in .50 Cal cartridges from the Browning machine gun, over my head, both days. Them little (not so little) babies are certainly hot.
The final edit is now under way although, apparently, the clarity of the images from the 60D (and L Series lens) is causing some issues because it is showing up some of the other stuff and looks very different in certain edits.
