This months popular photography

Did any one see the article of the "Advanced speedlites set up" I was reading the side notes and saw something interesting..... Besides the fact that 45 speedlites where used I saw one important bit of information:

"The Davises shot with a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV and 24-70mm f/2.8L IS II EF canon zoom"

Now did I miss something or did they happen to get that lens mixed up with the 70-200 f2.8 II???

Or did he happen to get a hold of one of those "test lenses" that happen to be floating around?

Conventional Wisdom says it was a typo...

Probably meant 70-200mm MkII .. No reason that any 24-70 IS would be a MkII right out of the gate.

Well, the cat's out of the bag. Pop Photo has been secretly testing the new pre-production 24-70 IS

24-70 IS MkII no less...

Rumors have had it that POTN member JDizzle has been shooting with a proto model of the new 24-70 IS for some time, possibly as a buy -off from Canon to stay with Canon bodies and not utterly jump ship to Leica or Nikon?

When we've asked him about it he just kind of chuckles and won't 'fess up...!

Still couldn't believe the 45 speedlites! I hope the lens is real though = )

Hehe Popular Photography.... they're gonna publish a review on the 50-500 2.8 IS Mk II next, then proceed to call everyone else a liar for saying it doesn't exist
