Anyone has both?
I often hear people here saying the 35mm focal length is 'too normal', so is the 28 1.8 a good alternative? How does it perform wide open on a 5d2?
Any comment appreciated

frankk Senior Member 825 posts Joined Oct 2010 Location: NJ, USA More info | The 28 1.8 and 35 2 are great alternatives to the 35L if you need a lens in that focal range and have less than $500 to spend. If you have the money, the 35L is in a different class.

I personally think 24mm on FF is too wide for my liking and think the 35L is perfect as my only wide lens. The 35L renders colors like I'd never seen before on any lens I've used. It really is amazing and the perfect lightweight walkaround lens imho. -Chris-Website
