I'm very sorry to hear that.

And my wife wonders why I grab all of my gear and put it in the grocery cart if we have to stop and shop on the way home...

Sorry to hear, were you shooting a paid event? How did it happen, you left your bag in the corner?

Capitale is located on Bowery and Grand Street right?

Are you sure this works? The website couldn't locate any of my pictures even though I have numerous photos posted all over the place.

Good idea, though.

I have never tried it as I have not needed to. Figured I might be clogging up a worthy site testing it for myself (or possibly flagging a non stolen body if I did).

There have been multiple threads here where stolen equipment was discussed and it was recommended as an option. I did not see any of them report results on its success though hope it does work/help.

I saw a story about someone using it - or another site like it - to recover $9000 in stolen gear. It was recent, and I think I saw it here.

I've tested it and it worked for me. EXIF data must be readable on the web for the site to find your photos.

The story on the 9K in stolen gear was on this forum (as well as other places on the web). Here is a link to the thread: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1033550

Good luck in getting your gear back

Sorry for the loss but that is why you have to have insurance. It is dirt cheap if you not a pro. And if you a working pro than there is no excuse not to have it.
