Hi guys,

I have some ishoot wireless triggers that are giving me some grief.

First of all, I have to use the sync cable to get it to work and then when it does, it's very unreliable.
Yesterday they were fine and today I could just not get them to fire, and when it did fire, they would only for one frame. Very frustrating.

I'm using a YN-460II and a YN-467 flashes.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've put fresh batteries in everything.

Cheers,
Blair

which wireless triggers are you using? I've found the RF-602 wireless triggers work well on a yn460 and yn465

The first problem would be the frequency that the triggers use is subject to noise...The triggers use 433MHz frequency for communication...That frequency is jam packed with everything from garage door openers to who knows what....The noise from the charging circuit of the flash can be a problem.

They are iShoot PT-04's I'm thinking of getting some 602's.

I pulled the transmitter apart lastnight. Found the cables to the hotshoe pin had broken off. I soldered that back on, but I still need the sync cable to get it to fire.
I also cut a hole in the front to allow the arial to poke out, that seemed to help with the non firing, But it's still unreliable.

get the newer RF-603 - they take standard AAA batteries, (the older 602 TX, although inexpensive, used CR2 battery)
