Ren Faire

Yeah, yeah, I know; another Renaissance Faire shot. I get tired of them too. This time, my goal was to try to capture something beyond the posed "How do I look in my costume?" shot. How did I do?

40D, f/2.8L 70-200. Some HDR toning to lighten the shadows under his hat. Didn't convert to sRGB. So the color is a little off. I'm more interested in whether or not I caught a moment and if it was a moment worth catching.

Joe, this shot is technically perfect, but then...you didn't ask about that.
You show one of the performers talking a moment to speak with a child, what you didn't show was the "wonder and awe" that we know was on her face. Can ya capture an emotion by inference...hell, I don't know, but I want to see the joy on her face.

I wouldn't go that far, I would say the crop could be more to the left and it could use more saturation and contrast
