WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 286 - Red

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Red. Since the Equinox is this week, I thought that some might be able to show us some fall colors. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. Yes and they smell great!
Even in the rain (which its doing right now) they still can be vibrant like the shot below that has a bit of red in it

Well after much searching, I did find a bit of red on this green insect

Some weeks are like that..

I don't know what's going on, but we have Mantis everywhere, this is the biggest I have seen. He/She hung out on the side of the house for 3 straight days. Now I'm seeing them everywhere.


Off to figure out a more interesting theme

Hi joayne, it was a busy week here. I was preparing to teach a seminar on Friday and Saturday, and yesterday it was the annual clean out the rain gutters day. The best I could do was this shot of a red locomotive headed through the wine country to a feed mill in Petaluma.

Well Tim.. I like it! Don't often see Red (except for Rust) in trains much since the caboose went the way of the Dodo
