Hi everyone, first of all, I feel the great need to thank everyone on this forum for their incredible work and advice to each other, because it has given me great insight into pursuing my own dreams in becoming a photographer professionally =)

I've been lurking for several years now, and have been tremendously inspired by all your work, so a big deserved THANK YOU to all of you! This is my 2nd time shooting a solo wedding (and 1st time I got paid for it). any CC is greatly welcome and appreciated!

Here's my take:

1. The diamond is in focus but the rest look to be OOF. How many rings are there? Also I am not too crazy about the setting either. Is that a chair?
2. I think the framing is kind of odd with the empty space to the right. I would have framed it so the bride is more towards teh right side.
3. I like it, but it kinda looks a little unnatural because it looks like a candid, yet the whole jacket over the shoulder gives it an overly posed look. I would straighten out the overhead wall though.
4. I like it. This would look better in B/W IMO.
5. Nice.
6. Not liking the foreground element. It really adds nothing. I assume it's a armrest on a bench? I would clone out the biker.
7. Not crazy about how this looks. He's sucking the life out of him. The foreground blades of a plant are distracting.
8. Nice.

thanks for the crit, nick! in #1, there are 4 rings, haha. and yea, in hindsight, i probably should have kept more in focus. as for #2, i had a ton of shots that way too (including the MUA), but liked this one with more negative space. i'll try #4 in B&W, nice tip! thanks again for the advice!

No cc bc I'm on my phone, but wow she's eating his face. The angle is a little akward.

Yeah, I do that sometimes too. I get too caught up in the diamond and lose focus on the actual wedding bands.

As for #2, IMO, because she's looking towards the left of the frame, the empty space on the right just doesn't feel right.

yea, it's funny, i never notice the straightening til post.. haha. although for #7, i actually kinda like it that way.. guess it's a taste thing. i do agree that my angle was a bit weird. thanks for the input all! =)

PS@nick, the rings were on a small sculpture type thing in the form of a hand, and those were placed on fingers. wish i played around with it more so that it would be more evident..

here mine,

1- i agree with Nick perhaps a greater DOF would bring this shot out...the object they are sitting on seems a bit odd as well
2- she has beautiful eyes but looks to distracted almost like shes regretting that its her wedding day.
3- creative perspective I like it
4- My 2nd favorite of the set
5- I like alot would be my #1 favorit..or is.... but try to straiten it out some
6- I like very creative
7- kinda looks like shes eating his head... but i get whats going on
8- reallly nice... looks like they are lit my the street lamp alone which makes the shot

Good job keep up the great work!
