Howdy, POTNers. :p

Just finished up an article for a website I run, and thought folks here might enjoy it since it's "cross platform." I'll probably be adding a bit more to it over the coming days as I get new ideas myself.

If you're bored, uninspired and basically stuck in a rut photographically - here are some ways to break out of it. Probably nothing new for many, but you never know...

Anyway, I'm all ears if anyone has any comments, feedback or suggestions.

Enjoy! :)

I generally think it's excellent advice. I think that all of it pretty much loosely could be described as "expanding one's horizons", and I think that's one of the best things that any artist can do. I find that I usually get bored when I'm too comfortable and I'm not learning anything. Great advice is to just keep learning new things. And all of the recommendations in your article are about different ways to do precisely that.

I'd also add research. If you're not seeing what other artists are doing, then do that. And if you do that, try checking out some artists that you're not familiar with (regardless of style or medium). That can really help a lot with the "inspiration" part of photography.

Thank you! That's some great feedback, and I appreciate it.

I like your suggestion; a good idea. I'll add a section on that. :)

I've added the section, "Drawing Inspiration from Others" thanks to the suggestion of Clean Gene. Thanks! :)

Thank you also, Gary. Glad you enjoyed it!
