Cross Country Championships in Ohio - 6 images and link (warning to 56k)

You can see 103 photos from the Division I District Championship races at Pearson MetroPark on October 22, 2005. There are photos from both the boys and girls races and both districts for each. So there was four races in all Since the Toledo Blade news paper doesn't do much for cross country or track, I thought I would go out and watch some good running and get some photos.

All Shots taken with my 70-200 IS and 20D. I wanted to use my 10-22 for the start, but could not switch lenses fast enough and I don't have two bodies .

Starting line, love the colors and with the official starter and all the runners reactions . The uppper left corner there is smoke from the concession stand grill, its not smudges.

I liked the framing of the runner with the tree and grass, wish this tree had more colors

This was the winner and fastest runner of any race. Nice Shallow DOF and super sharp, that is sweat in the air on the left.

I liked this view from when i was laying down on the ground. People thought I was crazy. Nice grass and tree. Good concentration by the runner. He was alone by then .
