With weather in the area I enthusiastically headed towards the Owens Valley hoping to find some interesting shots. I ended up hanging around the Antelope Valley and Mojave chasing thunderstorms until sunset. Here are a few images. The first one is one that stretched the dynamic range on my 5D2 to the breaking point.

Interesting pictures - I love sunbeams!

#1 - interesting - you don't notice what the "fuzz" is along the ridge for a sec..

#2 Nice - but the irregular light brown/amber "stain" (can't think of a better word) that runs from the lower LH corner up to the cloud edge is very distracting.

#3 - best of the bunch - excellent composition!
