Thanks Omar!

I could not actually preview the frames where I put two clips side by side because my CPU can't handle the load! It previews in an extremely laggy fashion inside Premiere. I basically had to time it in my head, and export many times as I was working to watch and see if it turned out well.

I'm happy with the cuts for the most part, but the part at the end with the quick frames that are obviously supposed to be timed with the music are slightly off. I had to release it as it was, but I'm going to fix it later. I also need to change the group's name in the video, as they made a last-minute change from "Indie Made" to "ND Made", which is why the description on the Vimeo page differs from the titles in the video.

Oh, and yes, I always fail at least once per shoot to pull the focus the correct way, haha. You'd think I have muscle memory by now to know which way to turn the focus ring to focus farther or closer, but no. :o

Man even with those limitations you pulled it off! Kudos to you! Trust me ive done video a bunch of times and cant get the forward or backwards thing right  I always go the opposite way

How easy is premier to work with in your opinion?

ya i posted it cause of how bad i thought it was

Nah its not terrible. It works in a funny way. Print it on metallic and watch that thing shine. The colors will pop!

So you can actually open up the iPhone and plop in a sim card (i.e. change out the original one)? I just wasn't sure, because I didn't know that there is any opening to do so.

Yup you just need a pin to pop the sim card right out. No issue after that :D Throw in one you buy abroad and your good to go :D

It's hard to say since I have never used Final Cut or any other video editing software geared more for pros (I'm not counting Windows Movie Maker and iMovie, etc.). But I really like Premiere Pro. It's intuitive and I learned it on my own fairly quickly. I watch some tutorial videos on YouTube, but also played around with it on my own and found some neat tricks (though I typically use more sober transitions and effects). If only my computer wasn't so slow, I could use more of Premiere's potential. So it is very easy to work with for all the basics and some advanced features, and there are a multitude of more things I have yet to explore.

Awesome! All I have left to do is pick a carrier. I need to look at plans and calculate the real total cost of owning one for the length of my contract (I'm looking for 1-year contract at higher phone price upfront).

Can anyone comment on Sprint coverage and customer service? They really do seem to have the best value plan out there, $80 unlimited everything.

No extra charge? I don't believe this is a phrase that any U.S. carrier understands.

Hmm i might give premier pro trial a test run. Im looking around to see options. And premier keeps coming up. With apple having messed up the new final cut pro which doesnt accept old final cut pro files  I want to move to a different platform for the future.

Yeah i usually sign up for the 2 year plan with no issues. Calculate it out and see where it goes. I have 4 friends on sprint who swear by the company. Sprint bends over backwards to keep customers from what they have told me. Coverage wise i havent heard complaints.

Fricks, I think you need to polish it a bit more with Photoshop or LR... less contrast on it and show a little bit more detail on some areas :D

I hear you. Plenty of pros unhappy with Apple for basically killing Final Cut. Adobe's moving on up in this area!

Good to hear! I'll do some research and decide soon. Pre-orders start Friday!

I want a 1 year contract because I might move back to Canada in about a year. Whether or not I move depends on many things, but with the phone I'll at least have peace of mind knowing I won't be on the books for a early termination fee with ~12 months remaining on a 2-year contract. But I need to make sure the ETF for 12 months won't be lower than the difference in price of the phone between signing up for a 2-yr and 1-yr contract.

Last I checked, ATT and Verizon had one year plans for iPhone 4. But that was a while ago.

Pardon me for asking what may seem like a stupid question in this day and age, but if I get a smartphone, do I need a voice plan + data plan + messaging plan (e.g. unlimited text)? Or is it just voice + data, and text messaging is part of data plan?

They are all seperate, but you are only required to have voice + data. If you want texting it's extra.
