Could you even get unlocked iPhone 4's here?
I'm pretty sure you can buy unlocked iphones, even in the states. I've seen them selling without contract for around $600-$700. They started offering them for sale about a year back.

I would never use that voice-activated crap. I feel no need to upgrade. Happy with my old POS-iphone. Voice is something I would never use but, I do like the 64Gb option and dual processors. I wonder if it would be worth upgrading or wait for the iPhone 6.

I know you couldn't for a very long time, I think I remember reading they were making them available, but it was only GSM, not CDMA. Everyone I know who has an iPhone 4 has one that is jailbreaked. Don't even know how they get that done. jdizzle wrote in post #13207050 Nice!! It can record 1080 and they have a 64 GB option now!! The big plus is dual processors!! That's a big win! ![]() Siri is a big win! Alex | flickr

For example Verizon and Sprint are both on CDMA technology, however you can just jailbreak an iPhone 4 from Verizon and use it on sprint. I would wait and see for your parents. I plan just to move them over to AT&T Will | WilliamLiuPhotography.com
