A friend of mine is a really good pro photog. Does weddings nearly every weekend. Last summer they killed 3 cameras by shooting in the rain.
Which cameras ended up dead?

Kenji does it a lot and even washes his camera with soap I did shoot in light rain but I had a towel on top of the camera to absorb the water For most people, keeping the camera protected is a must. But for someone that charges the price of a camera for their lower end wedding package, they can afford it. And considering how much rain those cameras saw, they held up really well. I think only one camera had to go to Canon for work, the others dried out fine. Melody

Well and it's all covered under insurance... but the hassle of getting it replaced... and constantly getting cameras replaced under your policy is taking advantage of the insurance company and well just plain stupid.
