Thats built for crop bodies. It is basically the crop worlds 24-105. It seems to be a stellar lens if you want a do all. I have no experience with it though.

It's ok. I had it for a short while a looong time ago. The downside is the CA, particularly at the 17mm end. The cam-extension system also gets loose easily with normal use.

Yup although they do have refurb 5mkII in stock now at 1999. Not a bad deal if you sell your current body to eat into the purchase price.

Thing is, I fully expect to see used 5d2's going in for about $1500-$1700 in the months following the 5d3 release. Enthusiasts who aren't doing paid shoots would do well to have a little patience.

Of course all depends how much patience they will show. Canon could hold back the announcement of a 5dIII until a year from now for all we know.
