Thats built for crop bodies. It is basically the crop worlds 24-105. It seems to be a stellar lens if you want a do all. I have no experience with it though.

It's ok. I had it for a short while a looong time ago. The downside is the CA, particularly at the 17mm end. The cam-extension system also gets loose easily with normal use.

Yup although they do have refurb 5mkII in stock now at 1999. Not a bad deal if you sell your current body to eat into the purchase price.

Of course all depends how much patience they will show. Canon could hold back the announcement of a 5dIII until a year from now for all we know.
