Are there any members with the Ricoh GXR here>? have anyone used it with the ASP-C sized sensor?

i read the review from Steve Huff, and man i like it... especially for the price... i can pick up a GXR with a 28mm f/2,5 lens for 700.00 slightly used... and was wondering if anyone can post any real life samples... Not saying the Steve Huff ones aren't real life shots, but looking for more Enthusiast samples then Professional Samples... get me?

i was thinking about the NEX 7 but i don;t want to fall into the newest is greatest trap!

The truth is, i'm looking for an enthusiast camera, something that would last me several years and not something that i change every year, like my canon 5D and canon 7D, had them both for several years already.... and LOVE them! but i need something with an ASPC sized sensor for great images...

I def. don't want a Micro 4/3, i've had the Fuji X100 and i've also had the Sone NEX C3.... my fav. of the bunch is the X100, but they are sold out everywhere...

The GXR is an interesting idea. But I think it's rather silly once you realize you're buying multiple sensors (sometimes, of the same size!).

I don't think the lens + sensor modules they sell now are very exciting. Also, there is no clear road map (as far as I can tell) for future releases.

I'm not entirely convinced that the 'back' of the system won't need to be updated for a long time. At the very least, the LCD screen will be out dated in a couple of years (I believe it's a 920k dot, and there are already 2000k+ dot screens out there).

The only thing worth getting (as far as I see it) is the M mount + senor module. But, at that point, why not just get a Sony NEX?

Sorry for all the negativity, but I just don't see the benefit of the GXR. If the M mount adapter were full frame, or if Ricoh were to release some sort of full frame mount + sensor, I wouldn't have so much negative things to say.

On a positive note, I have read that Ricoh cameras are nice to use.

As long as digital is digital, upgrades are inevitable.
