I've not had flare like this before.. usually I am crap at getting flare in camera and controlling where it was, but today I was able to capture this shot.

Something a bit different.

Shot with 5dmII and 85 1.2 at 1.8
SS 1/500
ISO 500

And another that the bride really liked...

I like that a lot.

How do you capture that?

i personally would've liked it better with no rainbow, as i look at the rainbow before i look at her. i like the style very much, however!

I don't think the rainbow fits the *style* very well, though it is cool and well caught.
Love that 2nd image!

I like the light in the 2nd image, very nice. It looks really good as a horizontal image, too (without that cone of light over her head, created by the two trees). For example:

Second image is great. I don“t like the rainbow shot though. Would be better without the rainbow showing.

Best regards/Daniel

It's different isn't it...

thanks for the feedback, I agree the rainbow doesn't fit the style of the image and it is distracting from the lovely girl.. I might even process it a bit differently to see if it gives it more of a 'feel'..

Thanks for the crop! I was trying to get the sense of a ray of sun shining down onto her, making her look angelic on her wedding day.. interesting to see the crop, I do like it as well!

Looking at it again, I really should clone that stick out........
