I recently purchase a G3 and after inspecting it closely, I notice a thin line on the shutter area near the bottom third. The line is not straight, it has a subtle curve to it. I've seen it on another G3 in the store, but Canon technicians tell me it shouldn't be there. You can only see it when looking throught the lens from the bottom of the camera to the top (i.e., on an angle). Is this where it opens up or is my camera broken? The technician's email really discourages me; I had a Nikon Coolpix 885 before this that was definitely broke in this area.
Thanks for the help.
