I would like to see the photo's taken about 1/2 hour later (earlier?) when the sun is a bit lower in the sky. Much more color to work with. #1 is a far better photo IMO. The foreground is much more interesting that the water. Watch your horizon in the second one.

The processing looks pretty good overall. I'm guessing these were hand held? Next time set the camera on something (like a tripod) and get more range. It's very challenging to shoot directly at the sun and eliminate the blowout areas.
