I swear I've seen another picture of this spot, but I don't recall where it is.

Just got back from Glacier and it definitely looks like it's from there ... would be very surprised if it's not.

You may have seen this (external link). I've read it's about a mile from the Logan Pass visitor center. There isn't a trail to the spot. My guess is that it's here (external link), but I've never been so I can't tell for sure.

I believe it is from Glacier NP but it is not in an area where you are able to get to without special permission (from my understanding). There are a few pictures from different perspectives of this area both here on POTN and in other places that are just outstanding.

I'll have to look more into this next time I go back. I know a few people that work at the park that I'm sure know the location. However, it's probably not a good idea to advertise such a place as it will soon be inundated with photographers, which takes away from it's allure and more importantly, would no doubt lead to every tourist visiting wanting to get their version of the pic. This isn't safe for the visitor (bear country, rough/primitive trails, etc.) or the ecosystem. Definitely on my shoot list for sure.

FastCougar, what equipment did you take these two shots with? They both are beautiful.
