Im planning on going on a vacation and do not plan on carrying more than a single camera (either DSLR or PnS) and 2 lenses. Definitely the 135 L and possibly a huge zoom. If I go with SLR, I was thinkin about gettin the EF 28-300. As its a very versatile lens. More than 10x zoom.

Type of shooting will be typical vacation style with some portrait ( 135 L).

Any comments? Suggestions?

A friend of mine just bought this, and he's very impressed with it. It's a bit bigger and heavier than my 70-200 F2.8 IS, probably not an "all day" lens. I'll get to try it this Friday at a wedding (being an assistant for a change) so ask me Sunday what I think (PM).

Is PM a "Private Message"?
In that case, I am sure that nobody will feel offended if you write a public review of the lens, instead! ;-)a
