I have 3 DSLR's that I have never used or even tried Liveview, always the viewfinder.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

I use both, but ViewFinder 95% of the time.
However there r some cases the LiveView could get the job done easier, like macro, difficult angles etc..., specially if you have a 60D u will use it a bit more.

Ok, a lot of people seems to use the viewfinder.
I noticed while looking trough the viewfinder with my rebel 3Ti, it is easier or faster to use
the dial buttons outside the camera, for exemple I want to use the white balance, or the auto focus selector, or any dials for that matter, they are easely at the reach of my right hand, instead of going into the ''Q'' quick button and going into endless menus.

So is it because it's faster????

Because it is better. Liveview has its uses, but its always better to use the viewfinder whenever you can.

100% view finder. Both land and underwater photography.

What kind of question is this? Anyone who ever used a DSLR should know that you can't easily autofocus with life view.

I do not know how anyone could reliably use the LCD screen as a viewfinder on a DSLR for normal shooting. Personally, after switching from film to a digital p&s (Canon Powershot G3) many years ago, one of the things I absolutely hated about moving to digital was losing a good viewfinder and having to hold the camera away from my body to shoot via the LCD screen. I moved on to a DSLR very quickly.

I still hate using a LCD screen if someone hands me their p&s camera to take a snapshot. It feels very unnatural to hold a camera that way.

I feel while using the LCD screen, that I can totally see what I take, and believe me, I do great pics so far.
I use a tripod speciall for night shooting.

@plastic Hmmm, asking question is a natural way to get answers, unless you got a better way! I'd be glad to hear it (junior member???)

Because of course membership rank on this online community is an indisputable indication of photographic skill, experience and talent.

I really like liveview for tripod work, macro and low angle shots. But it is much more pleasant to shoot with a viewfinder.

To fully appreciate the viewfinder, I guess I have to learn the basic of photography by learning to calculate distances and light to make great pictures, I'm a newbie and would like to use the viewfinder since it's fast to shoot that way!
