So I'm doing my first senior shoot next week. I want to provide the senior (and her parents) with cards to pass out to friends for them to do senior shoots with me as well. I also do prom shoots and want them to help me market as well. I've also heard of photogs offering something to the senior for their referral business.

Is there anyone who sells a card or is there a template somewhere someone uses? I don't want to recreate the wheel here.

What kind of programs have other photogs done to compensate someone in this situation for referral business. I'm thinking of something small but incentives tend to help people remember to refer other people.

Thanks.

I use seniors at 2 high schools that I have connections to. I think what you're referring to are "senior rep. cards".

I offer the senior reps a free session in exchange for them promoting me at their high school. I have rep cards made through my lab that has the seniors photos as well as my studio on information on them. I also have an incentive for the person using the card: 12 wallets or 2-5x7's for free when using the card.

I use Mini Cards from www.moocards.com (external link) They are about half the size of business cards with a full color picture on 1 side and your info on the other. You submit up to 50 pictures and each card will have a different picture on it. I do this at weddings with the couple's engagement pics and they're great because it's a card that people actually want to keep since it has a picture of the couple on it.

Ah, thanks for both ideas!

Hoping to get this worked out this year so I can really get after it next year.
