Hey everyone! I've been spending a lot of time over the past week tweaking some pics that I took while at Reno this year. It's almost like therapy because of the sour note that the Races ended on this year. I didn't want to look at pics for a bit after the crash, but now I really want to find that proverbial "silver lining".

So, enough blabber and on to the pics. They are both HDR shots of Precious Metal at sunset out on the ramp. Before this clean shot, she was surrounded by photogs elbowing each other to get a shot with her and the pinup girls. I love the ladies, don't get me wrong, but there is something about a Mustang on the ramp that screams SEXY!

The first shot will be the base exposure while the next two will be my two renditions of an HDR treatment. Let me know what you think. C&C is always appreciated :D

I like them all, but it looks like the HDR brought out a bit of flare on the tire on the right? Or maybe it's just sunlight.

Great capture and impressive timing! It seems just about impossible to get a clean ramp shot like that at Reno. I like the base shot a lot. But, I think #2 is one of my favorite HDR's I've ever seen. It seems to work really well. Nicely done!

For HDR #2 looks better than #3. #3 has a glow around the wing on the left side of the picture (right wing). Overall though I like #1 the best. If you were to bring out the shadow in the air intake underneath it would add to the photo.

a little bit more angle would have been even better.

looking at the original in 3x i'm pretty sure it's just the sun, but good eye!

It was really a fluke that my brother and I were able to get some of these shots. All the photogs were really polite when positioning for pics and a lot of "excuse me" and "oops, i'm sorry" 's were heard around the ramp that evening. And thank you for the compliment on #2 :D

Thanks! And looking at them again, I see the halo around the wing on #3. I was really happy with the original, just wanted to give it a 'respectable' HDR treatment.

I was trying to shoot at 35mm (worked out to be 40mm) so that it wouldn't be as distorted as my F-7F Tigercat pics. I agree though, I had the time and should've tried for some more wide angle pics...maybe next time

HDRv1 for me. She is a sexy girl...not the fastest but sexy none the less. I wish there were more Griffon 83 blenders around.
