Hopefully someone can help.

I am after a Peli case and my brother is going to New York in a couple of weeks. The plan was for him to get me it there (it's half the price compared to the UK).

Trouble is both B&H and Adorama are closed for the Jewish holiday.

Can anyone suggest a solution or other retailer?

Thanks

Neil

Buy it now and have it shipped to the Hotel. They will hold it for you(or him).

Yes, buy it and have it shipped to the hotel. But make sure to have your brother call the hotel and ask if packages can be delivered there before you place your order. He may just need to provide a phone number.

Thanks guys

I'd thought of that but the problem is he is a teacher and is going with a group of kids. I think they are staying in a hostel type place

Provide the reservation confirmation number and they will have it in your room when you arrive!

Just saw your post about the Hostel. Sorry

Call the local UPS Store (not UPS, but the chain of stores called UPS Store).

I've had them hold packages I've sent ahead of us on travel.

The UPS Stores are a private business, independently owned.

Certainly B&H will ship to them, otherwise UPS Store owners would never be able to get their camera goods delivered there.

It can be done - I just need the OP to email me directly: Helen@adorama.com (external link). Provided we can carry out ID verification and it's going to a secure location there shouldn't be a problem.
