I am having some issues with creating an action that I can use to watermark my photos. I have googled it, but all I find is how to create an action using a text file. Well, I have a .psd that I would like to use, that looks similar to my avatar, and I cannot for the life of me find out how to get it to batch correctly.

Basically, I am trying to build an action that makes the photo look like the one below.
Here are my steps so far.

  1. Run my sharpen and resize action
  2. Open my watermark file
  3. Move watermark to the photo file (this is where the problem comes in when I try to batch, it tells me the Move command is currently unavailable and doesnt insert the watermark.)
  4. Set the watermark to where I want it
  5. Export and close

Is there a way to insert a photo on another photo, without dragging and dropping it, or copy/paste? I know this has to be able to be done, I just cant figure it out.

A good idea would be to record an action - Start recording, place the file in the document, and then end the recording. Leave the logo document in the same place, and then everytime you can just run the action and it auto places it and you can then do whatever you need to with it.

That is exactly what I am doing, but I couldnt figure out hot to place the file in the document. I thought I could just drag and drop, but it wouldnt work when I batched it. I had to go to File -> Place. I was looking for File -> Insert, but it just doesnt exist!
