Has anyone sold their 24-105 for a 24-70 and ended up regretting it?

I tried the 24-70 once and while I really liked it, I did prefer the 24-105 overall - which I recently bought. I can overcome the 24-105's weaknesses by adding my 85 1.8 to the mix for portaits, which does a much better job at that than the 24-70 @ 70mm would.

I went the other way. Found the 24-70 to be too short for my liking. I found the IS to be better then the 2.8 for low light shots. mostly landscape. Yet light wise the 2.8 isn't going to make the shot if 4.0 want do it I have found. For the boken is the only place the 2.8 shines but I don't do portraits much at all.
