Shoulder bags, backpacks, or roller bags!

Show us the bag and it's layout along with what you carry in it. I just got a retro 10 and am VERY pleased with it. The first time I got one I think I was too picky. Now, I won't buy another brand of bags.

Retro10 with 580EXII flash, 100-400, 5D w/24-105. The contents and layout vary. This is just what I had handy online.

Same bag with bottle holder but I also have some Skin pouches (50's and a 75) which could be installed depending on the need.

Retrospective 10. I carry my gripped 50D with a lens attached, 580EXII, an additional lens infront of it and a Think Tank Cable Management 10 off to the side with various pens, paper, etc in the pockets as well.

I'm about to acquire another body, a couple more lenses and another flash so I will quickly outgrow my Pelican 1500 case for storage. I'm looking into the Airport Security or the Airport International for storage and taking on long trips.

T/Tank Airport Security V2

300 2.8; 18-50; 50 1.4; 85 1.8; TSE24; 70-200 2.8; ext. tubes, 580EX x 2; 540EZ, 1.4 & 2.0 TC's; 350D & 30D, filters, battery's; Skyports etc. Not included (used to take this) 1Ds Mk2 & 24-105 4.0.

Pretty heavy but the wheels work very well, disguises the weight, just don't get one of the Hosty's to try & lift it in to the overhead storeage.

Think Tank Retrospective 20 with 2 cameras

I have been trying to find a good solution for carrying 2 cameras mounted to large lenses. Today I was playing around with the Retro-20. I put all 3 large dividers down the middle to stiffen it up a bit, and put the 2 short dividers at each end to avoid snagging the "flash pouch" on the ends. This is intended as a "shooting bag", so there is no additional "stuff" in there.

Shown:
5D-II with 24-70L f/2.8 (hood in shooting position)
7D with 70-200L II f/2.8 (hood reversed)

It all fits pretty well, although it is heavy at 15 pounds. Of course, while actually shooting, one camera/lens will be out in my hand on a R-Strap, so the bag weight will be half that. But when transporting, both will be in the bag. Ease of swapping the camera/lens quickly was also a goal with this.

I'm not sure this is the ultimate solution ... still looking at alternatives. ;)

Uuuh nice thread. Have 4 ThinkTank bags currently, one is up for sale (Streetwalker HD). Really like the quality of these bags, worth the money they cost.

Got to put my retro10 through the paces tonight at a rally. Thoroughly pleased with how it functions and how I can work out of it.

Great thread. Love the retro 10. It's a real nice bag to work out of. Comfortable to wear. Holds enough gear. Unfortunately no pics (yet).

I use a UD30 and 40. Both 'commute' by car and the one that goes on my shoulder is dependent on what I'm shooting.

No pics but how about a couple of vids

UD30 (external link)

UD40 (external link)

I like to travel as light as I can and usually stash the bag somewhere when I'm shooting. The UD30 is my favorite for most shoots. Contrary to what I said in the video review I can actually store an ungripped 5D2, a 16-35 and 24-70 along with rocket blower, spare LP-E4 / LP-E6 and a Pixel Pocket Rocket in the main compartment. Front pocket houses my trusty 1D4.

2x5D3, 16-35L, 24-70L, 70-200/2.8L IS,15 FE, 50L,100L, 2x580EXII, 1x430Exll, Fuji X10, YN-622Cs, Manfrotto Neotec legs, various bits and pieces, my Apples ( 2 living MacBook Pro, 1 dormant PowerBook G4 ), bags and bits of Think Tank stuff
