I'm getting the 2 photos below printed for a friend who is purchasing them from me. I've never had to get any photos printed for sale, so I have NO experience with printers. I've been checking out MPix, and am trying to figure out which paper/finish would be best (e-Surface, Metallic, and potentially the lustre coating). The price difference between all 3 options is trivial, so I'm just trying to figure out which would look best.

What do you guys think?

Metallic finish is very smooth and shiny, yet it has a beautiful depth to it. It gives color images a very nice gem-like quality. If you get lustre coating, you might as well get e surface because it would add a texture that would eliminate the reason metallic is so nice. I think lustre coating is disabled as an option with metallic, if I remember correctly. I accidentally tried to add it once when I ordered and it was not applied to the order.

If you do choose the metallic finish, I would consider increasing the contrast a bit in your images above to further enhance the beauty of the finish.

HTH.
