My biggest complaint is that the focus point is not on her eyes.
As for the skin tones:
All the green in the photo is going to throw off your camera's sensors and give the skin a pink/orange look in order to compensate for the excess green. If you shoot raw, you can adjust the photos to correct for the camera's inability to get the shot correct. You can try your hardest to get everything else correct, but the color tones will be probably be off if one color is dominant.
You seem to have done a good job, though.
As for focus, I used f/2.8 with 85mm lens. The model is fairly still, and I did tried to focus on the eyes, but it seemed to focus on the hair. (Front focusing?)
I also tried Micro Adjusting the AF, and -4 (which corrects front focusing) seems to work best. However, I set it back to 0 for this shot, knowing that the EF 85 is one of the best focusing lens in EF line, and afraid that my MA might ruin it.
Yes I shot raw, and it does have a pinkish hue, the best way to overcome this without ruining the greens is to adjust the WB, this shot is 4700K. Pretty cool, eh?
Any more thoughts? I really appreciate it.
Yep, run it through Canon DPP. Is it eye-blinding bright or good-bright or pretty-good-but-shouldn't-be-this-bright?
Thanks for your kind words.
I really appreciate all your thoughts and insights. POTN rocks.
