so i picked up a 300HS for my parents, and borrowed it for a trip this weekend. im trying to download the pics onto my macbook. i updated all of the necessary canon softward, but for some reason, i cannot transfer anything.
my old canon pns had a dedicated share button. this one doesnt. i plug the camera in, the light blinks, and CameraWindow software begins to launch... then it briefly stops loading. not a force quit, just... closes. and the camera still has the green light on.
not sure if its defective or not, but thought id try to see similar experiences before i went to exchange it.
Edit: Never mind.... reinstalled the software from CD, and it was all good. had old CameraWindow software installed, for some reason the update package from canon site did not include everything i needed.
