I just got an email from B&H regarding this and was going to post it here. You beat me to it!

This seems like a really good deal. Do you think they're discounting it because a newer version is coming out?

Possible, but I'm not too sure.

All I know is when someone's offering anything for a reduce cost, it's helps!

Thanks for posting! I got the email too! Just bought it.

Even if a new version comes out soon you can always upgrade!

Adobe just released 3.5, and typically beta tests a new release a few months ahead of release, so I wouldn't expect a new version too soon.

Lightroom gets an update every 3-4 months. It has been this way since the software was released. It also goes on sale for $150 3-4 times per year. This is nothing unusual. It was on sale for this price at Amazon just a couple of months ago.

Already have LR3 on two computers but they are my friends licenses. For my own company I can see an issue where I wont't have access to upgrade and what not through his or want to put it on a new computer so I just ordered it for my own business to have a copy licensed to myself. Great deal for sure!

Well, going legit is always a good thing! And, if you do own a business, you can get into some serious trouble with non-legit software! So, good for you for making the right and smart decision there.

Well it is legit. I shoot for him and he has LR3 for use on multiple computers so he put it on his and mine. I just want mine in my own name for my own business. It isn't pirated software in case that was what you thought. It's late and I may not be explaining it correctly :)

Hey if he's letting you use it in a legitimate way, that's cool, although I'm not sure of the specifics of the licensing agreement are...

But definitely you are in good shape getting it for your business with your own license:)!
