Hello, I really need some help. When I calibrate my screen, either using Adobe Gamma or a hardware calibrator it does not look as blue as it did in the non calibrated state, this is with the white point set at 6500k. The monitor uses this calibrated profile for the desktop and web viewing etc. even if I restart it still uses it. However, as soon as I open an inmage in CS2 it decides to alter the colour of my monitor, back to the blue hue that I had prior to calibration. Not just the image that I had open in CS2 but the desktop and everything, even when CS2 is closed it remains in this state and does not revert back to how I had calibrated it.

I can't figure out how to stop CS2 from doing this and it is really annoying. Is it an idot fliter though? Does CS2 feel that 6500k is not right and changes it back to the native white point of the monitor (whatever that is on mine) perhaps...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Craig.

Rene, thanks for your reply, I have fixed it though! Turned off the automatic updater that pops up in Phoptoshop when you open it and it is leaving my monitor colour alone now.

Might need to start a new thread for this but as I am working on a laptop I have decided to get a decent but reasonably priced IPS monitor. I was looking at the Dell U2211H and the Sony Viewsonic VP2365. Would you recommend either of these or in the same price range is there anything better, I only want it for editing I am not a gamer.
