Is it just me or is Zenfolio really really slow?

I am new to Zenfolio, just having signed up and set up my website. I was more than happy and impressed the way things just fell into place and how easy everything was to set up. Got it up and running in like an hour.

Fast forward to a couple hours later, the site just won't open, maybe once in 10 refreshes. Tried restarting/clearing browser cache. Different browsers (FF7), no luck. It's not just my website, it's the configuration panel as well.

It was slow because of the slideshow on the home page and everything, but that was just a minor lag, right now (and for the past 45 minutes) I'm experiencing 'Page not found' errors.

My internet works fine, zenfolio's own bandwidth tool showed 1MBps down and 0.45MBps up.

Am I missing something? I have heard highly of Zenfolio, but right now it's driving me straight to smugmug.

I will test it a bit more tomorrow, from different computers, but as of now it has left a really bad taste in my mouth. Please advise!

PS. The site's in my signature and the title is just a temporary placeholder so please don't remind me how ugly it looks. :D

Also I did search for this but didn't see anything relevant.

Odd ,I have just logged onto mine and its fine.
I have been to all the links in your sig and all are equally fast with no probs.
As you say try a different computer it might be your ISP server.

Cheers

Thanks Troutfisher for taking the time to help me out. :)

Now that I'm on another computer on another ISP, it does seem to be loading faster, but I don't know if that's a function of time or ISP.

I don't want to sign up and then realize it is slow. I wonder if they were just having maintainence though, cause most of the times it was fine. My ISP has never given me troubles with any websites either, so I'm kind of certain it's something to do with Zenfolio.

Does anyone know a link where they post maintainence updates?

On their help forum they stated that they have been hacked and many of the servers are down. Hopefully this will improve today.
