These are both pictures that I took on a photowalk here in Tempe, Az. I like them, but as with any art there is always room for critique..

What do you guys think of these? (yes I know the horizon isn't level on the flag picture. :()

1) I like the lines in this picture
2) Kind of a snapshot imo, no clear subject (i guess the flag), watch the background in the future, as the palm trees are hella istracting, and if you had moved a little to the right it could have been solved.

Great starting pictures, mad props on you not starting off with flowers/dogs/family, getting sick of newbies starting off with those, as they are all the same. Also +1 on the signature, as I didn't notice till a couple minutes after viewing the pictures, although I don't see the point of it, but still, good job on making it not so flashy.

Eventually I'd like to start marketing myself as someone who can take pictures... so I'm laying groundwork now. (I of course know that right now, noone would wanna steal my picture and say that it's theirs :o)

Yeah, for the American flag one, I was trying to get it and the AZ State flag in there as well... but there were some more trees to my right that prevented both... and kept me from getting the palms out of the picture. :(

This is another from that day that I thought was pretty good... I couldn't frame out the tree though. :(

And I've got a ton of pictures of my dogs... and flowers... They're just normal pictures though, nothing I was actually trying to make look good.

Clarity is good, but the composition of the subjects are extremely boring to me.
When I go out and take pictures, i try to think of what most people wouldn't capture while taking a picture. Those kinda look like you walked over and took a snap shot and that is it, which anyone could pretty much get the same picture who has a camera.

Unless your in a spot where the composition is great, then lighting and sharpness will speak for itself.

Really like this building, love the way the clouds reflect in the glass--great job!
