I've found an awesome spot to watch/photog Osprey, and also found there are Eagles in the area too. I want to go back and observe/photo these guys again......but I am not sure when they will disappear for the season all together. I don't know much of anything about them at all. Do Eagles even migrate?

Love to know about both of them. Any info is appreciate. Fwiw, I am in central NC. The highs are in the low 70's lately.....its gotten into the low 40's a few times.

Thanks!

Darren

Ospreys either migrated or are in the process of migrating right now. There are some that are staying year-round in my area of VA so they are either staying or maybe just leaving late. As far as the Eagles...you might be seeing a mated pair. Eagles don't migrate to South America like Ospreys do.

Awesome, thanks Duane. I'll probably venture out there tomorrow and see what I can find.

As far as Ospreys are concerned...the juveniles are the last one to leave. The adults leave first so if the Osprey you see have orange eyes those are young ones. The adults have yellow eyes.

Our osprey have left, from what I can tell. The eagles stay all winter.
