No. But I got a broken on, and fit one of my apodisation filters inside. Seems that that was the first published lens with apodisation element and still working AF :-)

Other possibility is probably to repair the lens.
Is it the mark II version - yes, than take a look here (external link).

A friend of mine broke his...gave it to me and I had just fiddled until I got the track lined up and it rotated in and "caught".

Too bad the AF motor is busted, but MF works fine.
Too bad there's a lot of dust in the barrel now...
...but I think I can just drop it and repair it all over again. :D

Mine fell apart. I tossed the parts I could find in a trash can. I didn't replace it.

I got mine for free, well it costed $100 bucks but I would light a cigar with a $100 bill just to be cheeky so I consider it essentially free. That may just explain my bank account..

My original thought was - when it implodes (as per the urban myth) I would use it reverse mounted as a macro lens - but mine seems to be built like a plastic brick.

i think on quite a few occasions they can be put back together just by snapping it in, and lining up the tabs...if that does work i second the shot glass :)

No use fixing. Ive tried lining it up and no. Im quite sure its fully busted as the track seems like its missing a piece. No other DIY for it? Tried making it a fish eye but cant seem to get it to focus as the AF if fuxored.
