Finally got to the private practice track for a day of shooting... snuck in a few shots before the light became unusable...

Nice one but the second pic looks liek it's got some dirt or something on the lense. Bit of a smudge you could photoshop out. Otherwise pretty good. I think the last picture is the best one. Some tricky lighting conditions.

Good effort. I do think you needed to be zoomed in closer for more impact in the 1st 3 shots (your 75-300 would be the lens to use). Number 19 is the best shot of the bunch largely because the rider is closer and has more "presence". Only thing I'd say about 18 is because of the way he's drifting the bike out to his left, if you had been on the other side of the track and taken him more side on it would've excentuated the whip more. Look forward to seeing more in the future!

unfortunately the track is HUGE... I was actually borrowing a 100-400mm L IS for the shoot and at times those pics were taken with the lens at 400mm... this weekend we will be back there to get more pics but it isnt as easy as at a normal race... I am at the mercy of the 5-6 riders that are there at any given time. Hopefully we can get a few more pics out from this coming weekend...
